In Dougal Wilson’s Paddington in Peru, Framestore transported the endearing bear to the darkest, most sombre Peru for Paddington’s third big-screen adventure. This time, Paddington travels with the Brown family to the Home for Retired Bears to visit Aunt Lucy, which is a touching adventure.
Animation Director Pablo Grillo and Dougal Wilson started the visual effects process by drafting concepts that later developed into intricate storyboards. These early ideas directed the Pre-Production team and influenced the work of the Art Department. To bring Paddington’s world to life, the crew painstakingly organized the shot using previs and techvis before entrusting it to VFX and animation professionals.
From breathtaking settings to Paddington’s emotive computer-generated imagery, Framestore’s work guarantees that the lovable bear’s magic will always be endearing. Paddington’s Third Adventure is a memorable picture that carries on the tradition of excellent animation and narrative.
