Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures present A Minecraft Movie, the first-ever live-action adaptation of the best-selling video game. Directed by Jared Hess (Nacho Libre), the film stars Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, Sebastian Hansen, and Jennifer Coolidge.
Four misfits—Garrett (Momoa), Henry (Hansen), Natalie (Myers), and Dawn (Brooks)—are transported into the Overworld, a vast cubic universe filled with Piglins, Zombies, and other dangers. Guided by Steve (Black), they must craft, build, and fight their way home.
With Oscar-winning VFX Supervisor Dan Lemmon, the film’s VFX is created by Sony Pictures Imageworks, Weta FX (Sheldon Stopsack), and Digital Domain (Piotr Karwas).
