The Academy has announced the ten films shortlisted in the Visual Effects category for the 97th Oscars. Chosen by the Visual Effects Branch Executive Committee, these ten films represent the pinnacle of cinematic visual artistry in 2024.
Branch members will get to see excerpts and insights from the shortlisted films on January 11, 2025, before voting to nominate five titles for final Oscar consideration.
